i feel like this is obligatory.
I'd like to relate a story.
Bayonet charges were difficult. The will to complete them was astronomical. However, their shock value made them a potential X factor for any army; someone with a reputation of even landing a few charges gained reputation...
i think because there hasn't been a true MAGA bloodbath in an election yet a lot of people have convinced themselves it can't happen and i think they might be wrong about that
I fully believe Trump will smash the authoritarianism button harder and harder as he feels the midterms wipe out approaching, I'm less sure that doing so will prevent or mitigate said wipe out

Hey. If you're reading this, I wanna make a bet with you.
In a year or two, we find out at least some of the thrust behind modern the trans hate has been one or more asshole(s) with money, who rolled a bad relationship/were a terrible partner and immediately decided They All Must Pay.

Without downloading anything new, where're you at mentally?

I will let the intrusive thought pass through me. I don't need to say anything silly.
am I the only person who *didn’t* fuck Kyrsten Sinema?

I'm not really. Into, sports. What will this do, you folks reckon?

Tensions continue to rise in the United States, a large Pacific republic. Secret police forces infamous for brutality and freedom of action have now taken positions at various international airports alongside state security.
I find it necessary these days to affirm the obvious because the descent into fascism is mostly a continuous, not discrete, process so here it goes:

these are internal checkpoints by secret police for what is routine freedom of movement.
It’s been reported locally, but I’m not sure how much national notice this has gotten. As part of this invasion by shithead goons, they are putting ICE agents in jetbridges and other parts of the airport at Minneapolis-Saint Paul. If you are flying Delta via MSP, you are putting yourself at risk.

I do find the bibleposting a little amusing, even if it's ominous. The broadsword's shadow extending over the land sprouts from an artfully crafted balloon.
Bond traders… beloved of God, lions of the spreadsheet world… heed the call and punish the man who did this… destroy Donald J. Trump and scatter Babylon’s financial foundations to the winds.

It turns out that the liberals have been forced to join the War on Christmas on the side of... Christmas, this year. Incredible things are happening. :P

Every crime should have a redemption pathway. Yes even those ones that you just thought of.
Put people into jail, fix them, put them out and into an operational life.
It's always "well the ones I can excuse deserve therapy and help but the ones I don't like deserve the wall and largebore."
No more.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

I think that the negative polarization after the whole videogames cause violence thing has gone a little too far.
Broadly, violent acts in games don't hurt anyone. Blowing up pixels is the same as reading about J. Q. Superfuck using the Killozap 9000 on the bad guys in an action novel.
But...

alien rpg generally increases player survivability and options in a gunfight, as well as reducing inconsistency of things like armor, etc.
with that in mind the rules I have lean closer to Aliens(A2) and Personal Opinions about how stuff should work, as well as organizations in-universe.

would anyone be interested in specialty rules for alien rpg second edition

The fact of the matter is, without employment of DEI-based special mission units, this initiative is doomed like all the rest.

Fascinated by the thought that there seem to be two "correct" approaches to the firearms problem in the US.
Maximalist, or minimalist.
Either you remove the small minority's deathgrip on firearms, or pull firearms from the equation for the most part.

"She won a fourth Hugo Award, for Best Novelette, in 2020 for Emergency Skin"
just for that title i gotta read these books dawg
Only if we're talking '19th/20th Century Naval Tactics In Space Combat' by Hank Grill or 'Marines Are Awesome Even In Power Armor' by Dick Hunghigh.

Guessing the 'men' category being discussed here would rather be dead than caught reading Charlie Jane Anders or N.K. Jemisin.

So.. all Baen always.
