Perpetually tired, somewhat cynical
I checked the news for five minutes and had to close it down. How a man who clearly has a bowl of cold, lumpy porridge for a brain is the leader of one of the biggest countries and routinely states and does the absolute stupidest, offensive things is honestly difficult to grasp.

Co-parenting with someone with a narcissistic personality disorder is its own circle of hell.

I reached for my curling broom as my classmate passed it back, slipped on the ice, fell and dislocated my shoulder on the hack.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

As we enter the New Year remember fear of making bad art is holding you back. Fear of people not liking your work is holding you back. Rejection is holding you back

You'll make bad art, you'll have people not like your work, and you'll be rejected. Moving past it is half the job of being a creative

I just had to return an audiobook because of the voice depiction of the child. Is depiction the right word? Not sure. In any case, each time the child said something it was like an ice pick right in the middle of my forehead.

Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

"In some places, French postal workers now pick up prescriptions, return library books, and deliver flowers. Last year, only twenty eight per cent of La Poste’s revenue came from sending mail."

Services can evolve in positive ways to meet new and growing needs.
For those who wonder what a modern postal service could look like, one example is in France, where letter carriers provide check-ins on the elderly for very affordable rates, while completing their routes.

I encourage everyone to read the whole thing
