Right, here we go. If tuberculosis is your area of interest, whether you're a doctor, scientist, policy specialist, or survivor, everyone is welcome on this list. Let’s rebuild our little community here.

Let me know in the comments if you want to be added, and please share this on your feed.

I don’t think Danny Kruger is being taken seriously enough - this is far more extreme than anything the Conservatives were allowed to get away with. He is effectively saying that being anti-racist and being trans are contrary to British national identity and his party is leading the polls.
Reform are so dangerous and this headline doesn’t do it justice. I also think a piece like this should start with the politician‘s core views just to emphasise the urgency.

So grateful to know so many doctors, nurses, researchers, scientists & other healthcare professionals in the TB field who care for patients, carry out world-class research that leads to new innovations & better services, & advocate for patients & their local communities. They really are the best ❤️

Close your eyes, imagine being paralyzed… unable to breathe

Imagine being stuck in a claustrophobic iron lung, to breathe

Maybe we all need to time travel, to appreciate how science & public health save us, every single day?

I don’t say it as much these days, but as a patient under multiple specialities I still back resident NHS doctors striking for fair pay and decent working conditions. That will never change. No guilt trips here. Join a union and fight for what you deserve ✌🏻

Labour are now the "darker forces" Mahmood is scaremongering about. Depriving people who have fled unimaginable horror the ability to rebuild their lives in safety and security, which this does, is sickening. Labour is sickening.

I came to this country as a child refugee. No English, no certainty, no idea what my life could become. Britain gave me refuge.

Not on a timer, not with conditions attached, but with a chance to grow roots.

The "why do you care so much about the NY mayoral election" takes strike me as pretty obtuse. The world's sole superpower is being taken over by fascists, and this was part of the struggle to define what the opposition to that will look like. That obviously has major implications for all of us?

It is a low bar possibly, but seeing a politician win, especially a significant win, by galvanising disenfranchised voters on a platform of unity, compassion and hope, a platform which supported marginalised groups such as migrants and trans/non-binary individuals, feels pretty important right now.

there is no debate to be had about integration in the UK. The debate should be about what we do about the way we indulge delusional people by pretending their arguments are not bad faith.

Having a depressing time in the replies to this because liberals don't think this applies to them too.
It's so strange to me how the absolutely core question at the heart of politics - "what kind of society do we want to live in?" - is so absent from discussion, either assumed settled or reduced to meaningless generalities.
