The upside to being an actually righteous person is that my outrage needs no motivation. It is simply there bc the injustice is there. It has always been there bc the injustices have always been there.

But best of luck on your search for a catalyst to continue caring about other humans. Sincerely.

I’m sorry but people talking about talent as an unfair quality that needs to be Harrison Bergeroned away by AI have exactly the same energy as people saying it’s unfair that attractive people have more people attracted to them and the government should legislate their right to a hot wife

I am not going to repost the vile and racist image that Trump posted last night of President & First Lady Obama because it is beyond disgusting. Trump is a vile racist as is every Republican that continues to support him. I don’t want to hear mumbling from Mike Johnson or stoic silence from Thune.

The successful nonviolence and civil rights movements of the past, as I’ve gathered from reading about them, ALSO featured a shit ton of incessant petty drama and in-fighting.

But crucially, they didn’t have social media - so this was kept far more private.

Thank goodness for Walt Hunter and The Atlantic telling us all how teachers just need to ✨emphasize✨ reading to get students to read.

What a relief.
“At some point over the past 15 years, kids stopped reading”—but that’s because not enough teachers are asking them to, Walt Hunter writes:
C’mon, Professors, Assign the Hard Reading
College kids aren’t reading novels—but that’s because not enough teachers are asking them to.

Happy 100th anniversary of Black History Month!

I want us to be great this month!

I also want us to FEEL great and start healing, physically and mentally; that means visiting the doctor and dentist for checkups.

If you don’t have appointments scheduled yet, let’s do that THIS month, Black people!

Protest is not a picnic in our reality. It's not a delightful afternoon holding witty signs and taking pics. It's not harmless. It doesn't end when you get home. The danger is not "leftist" exaggeration or a psyop to scare people into compliance with the state. At least, maybe it is for them.
