Each time I point out that the Republican platform is simple (they want to sexually abuse children, and they want you to pay for it), a few people think I'm exaggerating, and usually some small number of people think I'm being sardonic or something. I mean it quite literally.

A lot of what I’m getting out of transphobia is that a *not insignificant number of child abusers* have a very strong gender preference for their victims and do not like it when the lines blur either way.
Kenneth Zucker, one of the researchers on this study previously published a research paper where he asked adults to rate the physical attractiveness of children.

Reading his emails, he sounds like a sophomore burn out who’s hacking out an MBA on daddy’s money while selling his addys for weed and booze for underage sorority girls trying to convince them that they’re “model material” and offering to take pics “for their portfolio”
Noam Chomsky and Stephen Pinker say Epstein was an intellectual force with a mind like steel trap and then his e-mails read like the ending of Flowers for Algernon.

This was a conversation better had 10 years ago, but as a librarian, kids aren’t picking up HP because it’s not culturally theirs. It’s a millennial IP that its own generation won’t prop up it up anymore because it’s author is terminally online and a vocally unpleasant & miserable person.

Younger generations “have fallen out of love with Harry Potter because they have fallen out of love with the worldview the series represents,” writes Louise Perry. “Which is to say that young people have fallen out of love with liberalism.”

this is a fake problem. no one is saying this to regular, offline people who are coming around. they’re saying it to people who are engaged in professional political analysis who committed professional malpractice by scolding people who saw what was coming.

no, those people shouldn’t get a break.
Bluesky idea: if people who didn't agree with you change their opinions so that they do agree with you, why not be happy that you are making progress - rather than complaining that they are "only just catching up"?

A lot of deride Hollywood’s “liberalism” for that reason and that reason only.

They’re mad they didn’t get picked.
It really is kinda wild just how many MAGA influencers are either Hollywood hopefuls, has-beens or never-would-bes and you would think people would connect the dots when it comes to that. Hell, the MAGA Overlord himself is a B-list celebrity

Mister Rogers Neighborhood‘s very existence as children’s programming was political, and I knew this when I was 4. He treated children like HUMANS because he believed they were and validated them. One of the most controversial things someone can say in this day and age.
This is quite literally one of the stupidest human beings alive

It’s intentional signaling to others that they are part of the “in” group and hold power. White supremacy breeds the idea of visual conformity in its followers, particularly its mouthpieces.
I think you could do a comparison like this for a lot of the men too. The intense and widespread body dysmorphia in the right is under-discussed.
They've changed their faces to please the patriarchy. It's not about what types of women those patriarchal men personally prefer; it's about showing those men that they are willing to submit. And it's a specific kind of look. It shows their willingness to be controlled.

I love Philly, it’s a beautiful city, I would also never start shit with it.
I've heard rumors that Philadelphia is next for the ICE invasion after Minneapolis.
Maybe I'm wrong, but
1) More than 11% of all ICE agents are in Minneapolis, and they've utterly failed to pacify the city.
2) Philly is 5x the size of Minneapolis.
3) "Minnesota nice" is a thing. We don't have that.

calling Bovino a short diaper baby who drops his pants to pee at the Target isn’t a crime, it’s a factual statement.

Column: Erika Kirk, a mother to two toddlers, continues to take on public-facing leadership duties while promoting traditional ideas about prioritizing marriage and motherhood.
