Strongly agree. Once we’ve established that “politics” is just frottering flags, announcing crackdowns, saying “There’s no magic money tree” and interviewers asking politicians whether a lady can have a willy, it’s going to be hard to break out of that.

In normal times it feels like the Prime Minister lying about intelligence and in doing so "significantly increasing" risks to British residents to defend foreign thugs's right to commit violence would be a resignation issue but... ah well nevertheless...
