Because “vote for the lesser of two evils” has reversed nearly all of the policy gains of the 20th century over the first quarter of the 21st. That strategy clearly isn’t an effective one. It’s time to throw it out and try something different.

At some point, something actually has to change. Either Dems have to actually fight for the things they say they stand for, or their voters have to stop enabling them to attain power without feeling a responsibility to use it to advance that platform.

I have been voting for Democrats for my entire adult life, because their party platform aligns more closely with my values and priorities, and I have watched elected Dems at every level vote to obstruct and reject that same stated platform, often calling it unreasonable, while enabling atrocities.

Maybe ABC, CBS, and WaPo like being denounced by the White House, at least a little, because they can use that to say they’re not biased in Trump’s favor despite all the objective evidence that they are. Good point.

I think they probably welcome it. They're all hopelessly biased in Trump's favor but having the WH call them out as somehow being "anti-Trump" is brand management for them

ICE will continue to exist because Democrats are deathly afraid of being painted as "soft on crime", Hegseth will go back to Fox or get a seat on some board, Israel will continue their genocide, disappeared people will remain disappeared. The environment will keep collapsing.
