Did someone spill coffee in the simulation control panel? Everything feels upside down and extreme! Facts are now just an opinion. Truth used to be verifiable, now, when convenient, ‘fake news’. Politics used to be about governance, outside our personal lives, now constant performative tribalism! 😰

Former Commerce Secretary: Certainly the tariffs have been inflationary. Study after study shows that 90% of the increased tariffs are being passed on to the consumer. If you're buying groceries for the family, it's higher than it was a year ago. If you're heating your home, it's higher than it was.

They want to stop anyone who supports guardrails on AI from being elected.

As a German, I'll never fully understand the Third Reich worship of the American far right.

They do understand that the Third Reich *lost*, right? That the tough, belligerent, ethnically pure master race got thoroughly defeated and its country conquered by a diverse multi-ethnic coalition?

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change—all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

I just heard what Farage said in response to comments by billionaire Ratcliff. He forgot to address that social services are worse off because people like him do not pay their fair share of tax, Tories’ austerity or his Brexit before joining him bashing the economy and failed immigration.

I get why Matt posts this nonsense every day, outrage pays.
None of this is on the current government.
Open borders? Brexit.
Soft-on-crime chaos? Tories.
Highest taxes since the 1940s? Tories.
Shafted pensioners? Tories.
Farmers driven to despair? Brexit.
Hotels for migrants? Brexit + Tory failure.

New playbook for Congressional hearings: take a page from @crockett.house.gov. Don’t ask trump administration officials any questions. Just make points for 5 minutes. Republicans will use up all their time letting them answer. Then just yell clapbacks from time to time.

I honestly can’t remember any prior AG being this overtly disrespectful in a Congressional hearing.

They really think they’re never going to be in the minority.

Maybe I memory holed it, but personal attacks on members of Congress during testimony just seems so out of bounds.

NEW: A page from Bondi's burn book. This is a list of the searches by Rep Jayapal of the unredacted Epstein files. That means the DOJ grabbed her search terms from the computers they set up for members of congress to view the Epstein files to use as ammunition. The photo is from Reuters.
