Always fun when your adult kids have to take a detour to Reno because there’s a crime scene shutting down the freeway.

Rumor is a road rage incident resulted in 2 people shooting each other to death. Right by the CA/NV border.

Guns everywhere is such a good idea. 😒

I am selling crocheted items and taking orders to support my conference travels this spring!

I have a busy spring of conference travels, with the biggest being the 2026 Biennial North American Saxophone Alliance Conference in Ohio where I will present for saxophonists across North America!

I did it. I muted her last name. Just when I thought I could avoid it, she finally gets fired. Which means at least another week of this.

I just wrote “supposedly” to someone and spent way too much time staring at it making sure it was the right word.

The internet has ruined my brain. People spell it incorrectly so often, the correct word looks wrong. 😑

They must have decided we’ve reached the point where we’ve all acknowledged they’re racist partisan hacks so they can strip citizenship from people and we will just add it to the pile.

The AI Coca Cola ad is the most soulless thing I’ve seen so far this season.

ROTFLMAO. Savagely accurate. I’ve been disappointed lately in Paramount’s Star Trek content.

32 degrees but the red tailed hawks are back. They’re not as skittish as the northern harriers

Really weird that the quake that showed up on USGS has vanished now.

I’m going to have to mute Nuzzi, aren’t I?

Why are still giving attention to this person?

Um…earthquake alert? But not a shimmy.

Finally watching the first season of Slow Horses. Hubs is not a fan…but then he doesn’t like mystery or thrillers the way I do.

Hubs and I recently realized that we have hosted every single holiday since I moved out of my mom’s house in the late 90s.

Every single one.

She’s disabled and elderly now, so it’s a given, but I could have used one holiday off when the kids were little.

While I’m on the topic, not everyone chooses rural living because they think it’s “better” or “friendlier” or even “safer.”

Sometimes it’s because they don’t like traffic or noise or lots of people. (Hi) Sometimes it’s because homes are less expensive. Sometimes it’s for employment.

🙄 Again with the cities are better/friendlier than rural discourse.

It’s not a competition.

You really don’t have to pit each place against each other.

People ragging on him for singling out young men, but even in the age of 2 income families, boys are socialized to be the primary breadwinner. They get a ton of media tying financial success directly to self worth. The same way girls get the BS beauty standards and carrying the mental load.
When buying a house is unattainable and jobs are disappearing, it's no surprise young people think they can’t succeed, especially young men.

It's not their fault. It’s Washington’s fault for allowing the middle class to be hollowed out just to make rich people richer.
