In the 90s we had some small talk with Debbie McGee (Paul Daniels' wife) in the Uxbridge Pavilions shopping centre. We didn't recognise her until my dad came in from the car park and said he'd just met Paul Daniels at the pay and display machine.

Even if Duolingo is helping you as it once did me, deleting your account is the only correct move right now. The company posted record profits, but capitalist greed means they're killing jobs, lowering quality, and will be creating an increasingly inferior experience for increasingly higher prices.
I have completely deleted my Duolingo. I was informed by one of my kids that the company has removed most of its employees and 70% of the company is run by AI.
