Something I've noticed in my time as an artist online is that artists who behave in that manner where they complain about things like "NSFW artists having more followers" tend to be insecure and lack any real self esteem because they feel entitled to fame for just existing online as an artist.
I don't hate SFW artists. But if I see one more "actual character vs how fanartist draw them" or "WAAA NSFW artist has more followers than me! It must be their fault! The world is evil!" comics I will snap

A real humbling fact that I regularly need to remind myself of sometimes is that a space as broad and varied as "internet artist community" is gonna mean that alot of people are fighting for the attention of millions and it's better to build each other up instead of acting like it's a competition
