Looking at the action comedy 'Taxi", starring Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon, which was part of a short-lived attempt to turn Fallon into a movie star: www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4O6...

It's fascinating how all of these specific companies went in different directions.

Disney stopped using Touchstone and Hollywood.
Miramax now half owned by Paramount.
Dimension label taken by now defunct company, library owned by either Paramount or Lionsgate.
Sony now handles Disney video releases
Found a real time capsule at work.
Hamas fits all of the definitions of a totalitarian dictatorship and the best thing to happen to the Palestinians would be for them to be removed from power and replaced with a proper government focused on peace.

Instead, I see people excusing Hamas's actions, which is mind-boggling.
Being in the same room as Chris Stuckmann was not on my bingo card this year.

While not everything about "Shelby Oaks" clicked with me (too many jump scares, for one), it's a noble attempt at a first feature and I'm curious what he does next.
Conrad Vernon was supposed to direct an animated movie at one point, I think as part of that shared Hanna-Barbera movie universe that was abandoned after "Scoob."

There's an animated Flintstones movie currently in the works, so I'm surprised there isn't an animated Jetsons movie being made.
The Jetsons in general is something that surprisingly hasn't gotten much media since the 1990 movie, especially when compared to Scooby-Doo and even The Flintstones.

Although I think one reason a live-action Jetsons movie hasn't happened yet is the special effects would make it really expensive.
Albeit with Rob Minkoff directing instead.

Yes, Minkoff was supposed to direct a live-action Jetsons movie at one point in the early 2000s and then later Adam Shankman and Robert Rodriguez. Warner Bros has been trying to make this for a while.
Maybe it's too early to start suggesting Democratic Presidential nominees for 2028, but everything I've read about Pritzker suggest he would be the ideal next US President.

Drew Struzan was THE movie poster artist. He made these characters legends just as much as the movies themselves. My condolences to his family and friends. Here is his Raiders of the Lost Ark, which I was lucky enough to have hanging in my office when I was at Lucasfilm Animation.

There was no one who could create a more eye-catching poster than Drew Struzan. So many famous films owe a lot to them thanks to his beautiful posters. I'm very sad to hear that he passed this morning.

R.I.P. Drew Struzan

Maybe the greatest poster artist of all time. Perfectly captured the Spielberg and Lucas era
I also don't understand why people can't just go straight to the point.

My standard format when sending a message where I want to know something is:

"Hello (name),

(Question or Inquiry)

Thanks."
It genuinely warmed my heart seeing the photos of the October 7 hostages reunited with their families.

I hope this can be the start of a new day and the continuing negotiations can eventually lead to a lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
The other day, I saw someone on here express their non-interest in seeing "One Battle After Another"...in a reply to a post praising the movie.

Why even waste time writing that, especially towards a person who just mentioned how much they enjoyed it?
My review of "If I Had Legs, I'd Kick You", with Rose Byrne delivering a great performance as a mother dealing with the stress of parenthood. And Conan O'Brien is also along for the ride: www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0rJ...

I'm still baffled Leto was even cast as the Hatbox Ghost. They covered him in CGI and modified his voice and it's not like his name is a box-office draw. They could have gotten anyone for that role. Like Doug Jones, who specialises in those kinds of characters.

Annie Hall is one of the all-time greatest comedic roles and that's largely thanks to Diane Keaton, who brought such a perfect delivery to her iconic lines. Also wonderful in Reds, the Godfather trilogy, Father of the Bride and so much else. What a legend.
Diane Keaton as Annie Hall in "Annie Hall" Steve Martin as George Banks and Diane Keaton as Nina Banks in "Father of the Bride" Diane Keaton as Louise Bryant in "Reds"
As I've said before, too many social media accounts use the Michael Scott "No" gif to react to news of family/children's films they are not under any obligation to watch.

I didn't think the scene was that hilarious the first time, but I especially dislike that clip now.

The smugness on this ad is through the roof, lol.

Reminds me of the DuckTales movie promo/demo tape shading the Ninja Turtles:
"Oh, so Palestinians don't have families?" is such a bad faith reading of this statement.

He's clearly referring to the families of October 7 hostages and every civilian in Gaza and talking about the specific suffering they have felt these past two years.
My statement on Middle East peace
A white graphic with a blue border includes the following text:

My Statement on Middle East Peace
October 9, 2025

After two years of unimaginable loss and suffering for Israeli families and the people of Gaza, we should all be encouraged and relieved that an end to the conflict is within sight; that those hostages still being held will be reunited with their families; and that vital aid can start reaching those inside Gaza whose lives have been shattered. More than that, though, it now falls on Israelis and Palestinians, with the support of the U.S. and the entire world community, to begin the hard task of rebuilding Gaza – and to commit to a process that, by recognizing the common humanity and basic rights of both peoples, can achieve a lasting peace.
