Right, they could have probably successfully concealed their identities, and did not do so, despite the risk of literally being lynched in their homes
My dude, Selma marchers did not face a security state with the capability of mass surveillance and data collection through highly sophisticated tools that do not require human review to record literally everything you do at a protest for use in a potential prosecution/detention.
I’m so glad you went. I had many people ask me - “is it safe? Should I leave my phone and ID at home? Do I need an exit strategy?”

We’re building this bizarre and paranoid civic culture based almost entirely on miasmatic online fear endlessly feeding itself. Selma marchers didn’t even mask!

No, the state of american politics is one party told you they were going to stab you to death, the other party said “Get in my car, let’s escape,” YOU told that party FU & FO and ran towards the party with the knife. Now you’re bleeding out and blaming the party with the car as you die:
The state of american politics is that one major party wants to kill you while the other simply wants you to die

The next Dem administration has to take a sledgehammer to this Supreme Court. I don’t care if it’s court packing, ignoring orders, or whatever they have to do, they need to do it in the first 100 days. We can’t go on for 30 more years of this shit.

This isn’t about convicting Don Lemon. It’s unlikely that will happen. It’s about intimidating journalists & making them censure themselves out of fear of consequences. It’s about eroding the free press because the administration can’t afford the criticism.
This just in: "Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards," Lemon's attorney Abbe Lowell says.

Leftists haven’t voted for dems since at least 2000, why would dems care?
Dems, Leftists are telling you, now, while there's ample time, who we straight up will not vote for.

So do not run them. Do not give them the nom.

We will not vote for them. Period.

We gave you decades of your demands. Now you listen to us.

Everyone. PLEASE—call your senate reps now (about so many things) NOW about HJR 140. If they remove federal protection of the boundary waters all public lands could be at risk. We will never, literally never, go back from this. Please help me amplify this!

Since I'm pretty sure this administration doesn't realize this document exists, it would be worth downloading the 2020 Intelligence Community Assessment on foreign threats to the U.S. elections before it disappears, which includes the following finding:

The time to prevent the damage was on 2024. Telling Dems the only acceptable answer is to abolish is is simply stupid. They don’t have the votes to make that happen.

While some scientists have been making rapid progress on technologies to build mirror organisms, others are getting closer to building regular bacterial cells from scratch. If progress in these two fields converges, it will be possible to build mirror bacteria. What does that mean?
Life’s evil twins, called mirror cells, could wipe us out if scientists don’t stop them
Researchers are closer to making “reversed” cells that may wipe us off the planet

Yeah, like I’d ever work for anyone who would care that I interfered with ICE 😂😂😂
TOM HOMAN: “We’re going to create a database where those people that are arrested for interference, impeding and assault, we’re going to make them famous. We’re going to put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, know who these people are.”

Please read and share this. It shapes all my thinking about the future of the US right now, and it explains why Trump and the GOP are behaving the way they do.

There is a near zero chance a Democrat will be sworn in as President in 2029, no matter how people vote.

There's a ton of disinformation going around about elections.

Facts:
The federal government has no authority over elections per the Constitution.

Results are certified by States.

Even if lardass invoked Martial Law, Constitution would prevail.

President cannot suspend the Constitution, ever.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

How about you storm your @$$ to the polls on November 3, 2026?

Vote “D” all the way down the ballot. Governor, Congress, dog catcher etc

That’s the bare minimum. If you can’t even do that, I don’t want to hear your fantasies of revolution. It’s not for you.

I read somewhere (don’t know if it’s historically accurate but I believe it) that the 2nd amendment has to do with protecting against slave uprisings more so than a tyrannical government. In that lens this doesn’t seem so hypocritical; the 2nd is about keeping minorities in their place.
We have been told for nearly 30 years that America needed to tolerate mass shootings because the broad availability of guns would help us defend ourselves from an overreaching federal government. That day has come. The people who said this are supporting the federal agents. Many have joined them.
