I occasionally take pictures, sometimes of cats or moss, and I spend a lot of time professionally thinking about what things mean.

Ok y'all. Whats going on is making me cry on the regular. It feels weird to be here at the GRAMMYs - but I want to honor the music of my ancestors by playing it- we gonna do some busking tomorrow, come say hello if you’re in town for the shindig.

From the court's order granting habeas corpus for the 5 year old & his father:
"Observing human behavior confirms that for some among us,the perfidious lust for unbridled power and the imposition of cruelty in its quest know no bounds and are bereft of human decency. And the rule of law be damned."

This Epstein drop is HUGE and utterly disgusting. I don’t see how this man is allowed to remain in office. Where are the evangelical leaders, the soccer moms, the folks stocking up on eggs, the farmers, the small business owners.

Decide. Who are you?

"Leather panels" is a hilarious detail that only Trump could make up
Trump on Mpls: "Do these people really want to have rapists and drug dealers and people from prisons and murderers, do they really want to have them in the community? It's really insurrectionists and agitators and they're paid ... everybody has a beautiful sign with brand new wood. Leather panels."

Then you have senators like Tuberville. Just profoundly ignorant people who would be standing around watching their neighbors' homes burn down while saying "pretty colors" at the flames. Completely useless, vile degenerates with no business in public life or in any position of responsibility. 5/

2) The only ones who can stop the ongoing ICE/CBP ops & expanded detention ops are the GOP. Either the Trump admin, which, obviously won't, or congressional GOP, especially GOP senators. The congressional GOP could stop it by agreeing to claw that funding back as part of a deal, but they won't. 2/

Is -everyone- who responds to a post with a “just tapping the sign” meme almost always responding to someone who is (slightly more subtly) tapping the sign? Because it certainly seems like it.

the practical effect of arresting lemon et al is to spark widespread condemnation, especially since these arrests will certainly be thrown out. this doesn't mean the action isn't a dangerous escalation, it does mean the white house doesn't know what to do but spam its only attack

You would think with the current popularity of the Traitors franchise and the number of times people are telling “why are you trusting someone in a closed system designed to guarantee you can trust NO ONE” would get this, but no.
“What if someone adds a bad actor in disguise to the Signal chat” is a *social* problem that *literally cannot be solved by any messaging app*.
i can confirm the chats I’m in which include renowned security specialists - people who actually advise on how to protect your comms from authoritarian dictators for a living - also think this outburst of paranoia about Signal is really weird and unwarranted

“How to Talk Minnesotan” is intended to be comedic but I recommend it for every autistic transplant, because no one will explain any of this to you, they’ll just get mad at you and you won’t know why. This outright just tells you the unspoken rules and everything makes so much more sense after that
This is light-hearted and doesn't touch on cases of fuckaroundits, but maybe it'll spark joy. Mid 90s local PBS.
