It’s not the tariffs though. They just decimated science in America. And, please understand that I say this with full knowledge of just how bad HHS has been gutted. NIH is now working about as well as mid tier college. They booted some big names and others have quit to go elsewhere 1/

i do this too! i have asked several dozen naive questions here because bsky is private and i trust you guys

but i am totally being serious, ask stuff all the time! i have been called a machine gun of stupid questions but that's why i know so much
The actual secret to why I know stuff is that I ask a question any time I don’t understand literally anything. I don’t care how simple it is. Anybody who makes fun of you for asking a simple question likely doesn’t know the answer either

I would like to share something.

A year ago, Trump won and I was furious and scared so I sent a text to a few of local women I knew and asked them to join me at a meeting and invite like-minded women they knew. A few showed up, then a few more. We became a group called The Salon and we meet monthly

To early to celebrate but a tiny speaker is screaming YAY in my brain
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action
Advocates fear such settlements will “financially ruin” the AI industry.

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Remember, the Nazis came to America to study Jim Crow laws in order to make their laws as iron clad. But, they wound up using the USA laws to un-humanize the indigenous peoples. Allowing them to, you know, murder and abuse entire populations of people.
Remember, everything the Nazis did was legal under their laws.

Hey Michigan #MedSky folks: any of you know where I might be able to get my hands on a home oxygen concentrator tonight for my mom, by chance? She’s a lot sicker than she realizes, and in the minute and a half I was on FaceTime with her, my SpideyNurse sense went off like the fucking lamps…

If anyone in #MedSky or #NurseSky can help me obtain one, or if you can help share this, or contribute funds so I can buy one for her out of pocket (some of them are running sub-$500 for the low end costs, which would fit her need at this time)
If anyone else sees this and can help, please do! ❤️
