Not a fan of that last play call. It asks your quarterback to make a very difficult throw. But I'm happy with how this Bears team competed. #Bears #Packers

Is the Packers' defense always so good against misdirection? They've sniffed out a lot of well designed plays. #Bears #Packers

Blitzing on 3rd and 10 against a QB who thrives against the blitz is stupid. Dennis Allen, I'm looking at you. #Bears #Packers

Hot Chocolate had some hits here in the U.S., but nothing like their sustained success in the UK during the '70s into the '80s. This gem would have made AM radio here in the States sound so much better.

without birthright citizenship in the united states, you don't have a democracy and you don't have rule of law.

revoking birthright citizenship gives fascists free rein to purge the country of literally anyone they don't like. it opens the door to atrocities and mass murder. i am not exaggerating.

So maybe they shouldn't have called forward progress, but there was a clear hold by a Buckeye's OL trying to pry his QB from the Hoosier DL's grasp. How do the announcer's miss these obvious things. #OhioState #Indiana

One of the announcers, after the break, said you can hit a receiver if the pass is thrown behind the line of scrimmage. Curious about that rule...is the thought it would be too hard to determine if a pass behind the line was a forward pass?
I'm trying to figure out how that was not DPI in the Ohio State-Indiana game. Mendoza threw the pass the Buckeye DB hit the receiver before the ball got there...which is why it popped in the air for another Buckeye defender to intercept it.

In a chat with Guitar World last year, Reid even insisted that this guitarist's “continued non-acknowledgment as a near direct tonal descendant of Jimi Hendrix continues to this day”

We’ve reached the point in this crisis where comrades from out of state are shipping us packages of thousands of whistles to distribute.

Know that when we win here- we’ll return that favor for the next city. Just as Chicago has taught us.

We are all in this together.

I think it's a clever move by FIFA making a final draw show so long and boring that it makes an actual football/soccer game seem exciting in comparison.

This piqued my curiosity: the two dates captured on Miles Davis at the Plugged Nickel (at 1321 N. Wells) were on relatively warm December nights: the low temperature on 12/22 was 31, and the next night the low was 43. The former is freezing, but not as bad as this morning (15 degrees!).
Imagine being at one of those concerts and stumbling out shellshocked into the freezing Chicago night.

Fritz has a problem that this ad may exacerbate. While he's trying to shift the blame, people have to wonder why he hasn't been able to solve it over the course of two terms. Some folks might feel gaslit.
Cook County Assessor Fritz Kaegi has a new ad out. I think it’s a pretty good one.

A constant in Liz Pelly's writing about Spotify (and streaming in general) is the implicit presumption that consumers have no agency. While her constant critiques of capitalism are certainly valid, her criticism of how people should listen to music is elitist.

City Hall has increased the capacity of the Christkindlmarket by nearly 1000, but that's still not high enough for vendors. The article alludes to a new interpretation of the municipal code, but, of course, the Johnson administration won't explain this.
