I have a letter board on my wall that I bought from Target that says "YOU DON'T ALWA S HAVE TO HAVE ALL YOUR SHIT TOGETHER" because the "Y" in "always" kept breaking off.
I want to know the size of the poll. Was that just one guy who's like "Yeah, I should be able to take off an MP's clothes. And kids in bikinis, that's fine." Could we maybe find that guy and put him on a list?
Has there ever been any poll showing the public this united? yougov.co.uk/technology/a...

In connection with the discourse about using gen-AI to 'bounce ideas off of' I want to point out that the reason a lot of people feel they either don't have time or its rude to take the time of others to have meaningful discussions is because we're all being choked to death by the greed of others.

They're not pursuing anyone else detaining people for more than 12 hours!!!! It's discrimination!
The owner of the Portland building that houses ICE says city leaders are unconstitutionally penalizing him for his choice of tenants.

“This code enforcement case is a textbook example of unlawful selective enforcement with a clear discriminatory motive and unlawful political retaliation."

This is a really good reason to go back out on the street and protest, to stay peaceful in the face of escalating suppression by feds and law enforcement and even the national guard: when you see someone put their body on the line to protect their country, it puts your cowardice to shame.

This will sound unrelated but bear with me if you will. (Content warning, birth story but turns out just fine).

I became pregnant with my older daughter when I was 29. I was in great shape, abstained from all the things I was supposed to abstain from, maintained my levels of physical activity.

The link between Tylenol and autism is unclear, and physician groups still recommend the medicine for pregnant people experiencing pain or fever, in consultation with their doctor. The link between vaccines and autism has been studied exhaustively, and no connection has been found.

Learn to tolerate boredom. Your obsession with convenience and insistence on constant entertainment is killing you.

If you're confused as to why this might have a secret racial bias, it's this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudof...

It was a big surprise to me when I learned about it.

Can we stop pretending that cities are not dangerous (as far as they *are* dangerous) because of people sleeping rough or people from other places but because they're full of negligent drivers of cars?

Boarding a flight to Chicago. It's a work trip, so paying for a checked bag is a no-brainer. I only ever bring a bag that can fit under the seat in front of me.

Can #urbanist bsky help me? I have a conference in Chicago next month (near Southwater Metra station) and work is paying for a hotel but there are rules for how much I can spend on a room. So I'd like to get a nicer room further but a very short train ride away. Which direction should I go?

14/ Second, through mass mobilization. When hundreds of thousands of people rally against this kind of assault on democracy, history shows it works. There is a strange, magic power to mass activation which makes supporters of the regime start to jump ship.

This is the thing that people who didn't grow up in Portland don't understand about umbrellas. The rain in Portland comes in a dizzying variety, so we have a lot of strategies to deal with it. Umbrellas are only appropriate for a specific kind of rain.
