an unapologetically sappy feel-good subject (at least, I guess, for people in {a} happy relationship{s})
in anticipation of Valentine’s Day, what did you and your partner do for a first date?

Well, you see, we were on this group overnight trip to a hot springs, and there was... only. one. bed.

We dated long-distance. Our first in-person meeting was when I moved cross country to be with my beloved./1

my husband and I had a three-hour dinner date that I later referred to as “the grueling job interview” 🫠

As a friend, do you feel warm fuzzy and connected when a friend takes social liberties like walking into your house without knocking, helping themself to your food, or borrowing things without asking?

Aw. My man is a Kip/Scott guy. Ilya's too mean for him. 🥰

Our state is considering going to a 32 hour standard work week, and they really found some drone out there to give a quote about, "I don't support it because I take joy in my long work hours."

Get a hobby, babe.

Nobody cares, but I just finished the *worst* romance. It was a second chance fake dating thing, but we're never told why one MC dumped the other the first time around, and then they just segue to real dating while fake dating with no real conversation or emotion about it and without the dumped MC

It's not a showstopper because I didn't bother with fancy decorations, but for my birthday I knocked off Dilettante's Mocha Praline Cake: pecan praline crust, mocha ganache, chocolate filling, and espresso chantilly. It tasted fancy, anyway.

Got a wild hair to try my hand at making crullers

It's my birthday in three days and all I really want is to binge the hockey sex show with my partner, but he's working long hours supporting our livelihood right now and doesn't have a binge in him. :(

SO I think I'm going to attempt to copy Dilettante's Mocha Praline Cake and then eat it.

I am appalling! Beware!!
I would guess that even casserole dish crust has a half-life beyond which further soaking is futile. Going to bed (with or without someone who has not previously darkened your doorstep) with dirty dishes in the sink is appalling.

That crust is stuffed!

Not at my mom's for the first time in forever, so made my own version of my traditional Xmas eve delivery order: Greek style cheese pizza with extra cheese. The stuffed crust is my own innovation.

What if I made myself a stuffed crust pizza for Christmas eve???

Celebrating the season by indulging in the laser-animated spectacle of a hippopotamus vibrating apart in excitement projected on the side of a nuclear cooling tower, in accordance with ancient tradition.

If your 2 year old has a persistent habit of hurling small objects, maybe stop handing him small, heavy and/or fragile objects in other people's homes. Save the learning experiences for your own place.

As a wise elder, I know there's always room for pie.
i only have one true pie take: 99% of the time i'd rather eat more dinner than save space for dessert because i am not a child

Sleepover at my house tonight, and the visiting lads (8 & 12) have chosen split pea soup over mac and cheese for dinner!?

Need some solid synonyms for "community" to mean this small town, the surrounding countryside that is attached to this small town, and the tribe that is adjacent to and intertwined with this small town. People are going to start drinking games based on my repetitive-ass speeches.
