More weird seed oil: Seed oil from Ongokea gore has polyacetylenic (>1 triple bond) fatty acids, such as isanic acid. The triple bonds make the acid (&, by extension, the seed oil) highly reactive. The seed oil turns red upon exposure to light.🩸🧛 📷: Carel Jongkind CCBYNC4 #Olacaceae #Botany 🌾🧪

Camera movement has existed longer than we might think, with pans becoming common in the 1900s.
Early filmmakers also simulated movement. This 1908 fairy tale THE GRATEFUL LITTLE MICE gives the illusion of a zoom by pulling the performers and prop book toward the camera. It's nearly seamless.

I got it... I actually got it... Interstellar comet 3i, imaged from the middle of light-polluted Kendal, at 6am this morning, using my Seestar S50... This comet was already billions of years old before our Sun was even *born*... Very chuffed with this!

I am working on an O-type star map. The detailed Edenhofer dust clouds and this year the new ionized hydrogen grid allows for more detailed and realistic maps so I tried a different style for this map. Comments welcome.
