Here are a couple stories we have written about the fight that's coming up. You can find the provisions here:

House HHS Appropriations Bill Would Devastate Trans Adult Healthcare Nationwide
The bill would bar federal funding for any "social, psychological, behavioral, or medical intervention" to treat gender dysphoria.

Germany, Austria and Switzerland issued a massive joint report endorsing gender affirming care for trans youth and heavily criticizing the Cass report and this is how Azeen reports it yet again. She never wrote an article on it or gave its authors a massive cover story like Cass.

More yankee Democrats should be encouraging southerners to flee north. It's existential for electoral college math at this point and it's a good counter narrative to the mostly BS "fleeing blue cities" commentary (in reality many blue cities are so desirable that housing is too expensive)

Advancing anti-trans legislation is advancing fascism. Fight for trans rights by sending a letter to your New York reps demanding they protect Trans Rights.

Oh. So we don't need to follow GRADE guidelines for "high quality evidence" when it comes to harm. Only for benefits. Lol.

If that’s the right John Koenig and Blake Sanchez, the compiler of the main report has degrees in English and Business, and the compiler of the executive summary has a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience.

...such science.

If you open the anti-trans HHS report’s appendix in NotePad, you’ll see that it was compiled by Alex Byrne.

The appendix is a rigorous, scientific overview of systematic reviews.

Alex Byrne is an MIT philosophy professor with no apparent background in science, let alone expertise in it.

Lol. They released their 400 page US version of the Cass Review and refused to even name who the authors were. It's a glorified book report.

Anyway, this is out now y'all. I'll be looking it over today.

Notably missing: Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Columbia. Kind of mindblowing to me given what the substance of this letter is: "government should not retaliate against law firms"
Dean Chemerinsky and other #lawschool deans "speak as legal educators, responsible for training the next generation of lawyers, in condemning any government efforts to punish lawyers or their firms based on the identity of their clients or for their zealous lawful and ethical advocacy."

I’m told this is a real letter. It basically says, “We’ll destroy Columbia unless you destroy it first.”

After publishing this story, which features a picture of the protest at Children's National in DC, I have been informed that moments ago, Childrens National in DC has resumed transgender care.

The hospital protests worked! Keep doing them!

Where's the accountability for the NYT's transphobia?
FYI, folks from Bluesky. Reporters at The NYT, among other news organizations, are now generating a giant wave of accountability stories about the new Trump era. Reading these stories, sharing them, is a form of accountability as well. It is a form of participatory democracy too. Substance matters.
