been noticing that even though i know much more french than spanish, it feels easier to understand spanish when i hear people speak it in films than it is french. i think it's just speed and enunciation?

REALLY enjoyed this video and how it dives into both the technical as well as philosophical reasons that moves All Look Like That now. He goes beyond the "film vs digital" argument and talks about things that I could very easily put into filmmaking practice myself, at any level.

Rye Lane was really great! A sweet but earnestly felt romcom and her directing on it was visually playful and creative in a way that feels really lacking nowdays.
‘RYE LANE’ director Raine Allen-Miller to write and direct heist comedy ‘THE ROOTS MANOEUVRE.’

It follows a young woman who orchestrates a daring heist to recover a stolen artifact, covering her tracks by managing the whirlwind of a luxury wedding.

I wrote, as expected, about the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald in my newsletter. Also about the time I spilled coffee on myself in a drive-thru, and how that wasn't the worst thing to happen to me that day.

The Gales of November remembered
This is the beauty of the song, the heart of it in those who lost their lives in service of building a world many believed they never belonged to, as if they are men out of time.

was i supposed to think that the different bond actors were all the same guy? i thought of each as their own continuity

just confirm that theory that 007 is a title with multiple agents and people will go nuts for it
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."
