The cancellation of Kimmel I have to say came as quite a shock not just because of the banal and specious reasons, but because the networks are falling quickly in line with a regime. The fall of democracy enabled by a series of business decisions.
When freedom is under fire you can count on me to ramble and mutter incoherently.

I’ve always wanted a Brompton and had no idea the company was around so long. I’ve filled that hole in my life with Moulton bikes which are not actually folding bikes. The only thing I’ve folded on my Moultons is bones.

Barely an hour ago, Palestinian journalist Anas Al-Sharif warned us all:

“If this madness doesn’t end, Gaza will be reduced to ruins, its people’s voices silenced, their faces erased — and history will remember you as silent witnesses to a genocide you chose not to stop.”

Israel just killed him.

Tama Potaka helped throw whānau onto the street then shrugs it off like it’s not his doing.

You didn’t just cut emergency housing. You condemned people to sleep in cars, alleys, and shopfronts.

This is what state violence looks like, against the vulnerable.

The proposed $880 billion cut to US health care leads to mass deaths particularly the disabled. I hadn’t heard of it until last night via @stevenspohn.bsky.social. It has the hallmarks of eugenics policy making. A democratic country that now considers the vulnerable as grifters.
