Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, yeah, for operating multiple programs and doing work stuff outside of just typing, Dragon is still the supreme program in the ring.

and quite frankly, you shouldn't have to depend on the generosity of people who care about you to insulate you from these situations. I hope someone from Microsoft sees this post and realizes it's not cool to force a free upgrade that then forces a very much not free upgrade.

Thank you to the generous supporters who helped me fund the upgrade. I am truly blessed to have such kind individuals in my corner. Simultaneously, these kinds of disability taxes shouldn't be a thing. Not every disabled person has built a community around them,

After being forced to "upgrade" to Win 11, I find @microsoft.com Dragon Naturally Speaking won't work unless I upgrade to 16 for $700. Without Dragon, it took me 15 min. to type this. So, I have no choice. God bless disability tax. Beware, fellow disabled peeps.

The one thing I always wonder when an artist releases a new album and it doesn't hit quite the same is "is it me? Am I getting older and less receptive to new music? Or am I just not a this song enjoyer?"
