I entered the #ATASCII compo for the first time this year. I came in 2nd-to-last, but I was happy with my drawing: X the Owl from "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood."

Mistigram: this gaunt steed may only represent a hacker conveying himself through cyberspace (hence the ones and zeroes, and the accents in terminal green), but we felt that Mavenmob's #ANSIart scene here was creepy enough to warrant inclusion in last month's spooky MIST1025 artpack collection.

Holy shit, just learned about the typewriter art of Montserrat Alberich Escardívol, a Catalan typist. Using an extra wide typewriter and 180 color ribbons, she built up elaborate images from simple characters like 'm' and '.' and ';'. Here is her typewritten painting of the Cathedral of Barcelona.

We called it "Under the Sea," with a mermaid swimming through the ocean. It was released in Mistigris' 21st anniversary artpack.

Ten years ago, I made my first parallax-scrolling ANSI art animation. Today I cleaned it up, made it smoother and added titles and credits.
The original was a user-controllable tech demo I made for my late daughter Jadzia on our BBS, "Guardian of Forever."

Ten years ago, I made my first parallax-scrolling ANSI art animation. Today I cleaned it up, made it smoother and added titles and credits.
