One way to think of the Trump Admin is as having SHIFTED the $$ we used to spend on curing cancer (and providing care to Veterans and protecting nature and etc) to snatching brown people off the streets.

What gets me is that they assume people who need benefits to survive can’t also be *working* people.
If a full time job doesn’t pay enough to live on, then the taxpayer is subsidising poverty-level wages.
How is that the fault of the workers? 🤷🏻♀️

Why can't the govt pass a law that to operate in the UK you need to pay taxes and live in the UK. It's a disgrace that Rothermere can pontificate from his ivory tower in fuck knows where. He treats his readership with total contempt because they don't question the bollox he feeds them

I recall the overwhelming, cross-party, public support of free school lunches during recess, so this (to me) is just one more piece of evidence (if further evidence was needed) that much of UK media, especially tabloids, do *not* voice public opinion but their own (or rather, their owners') agenda.
