I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.

Thanksgiving dinner planned, grocery shopping list drawn up, and dish preparation scheduled in a day-by-day grid. Feels a bit overwhelming until I realize how grateful we are to have a Thanksgiving celebration.

Maybe they all took the "Situational Ethics" class that one of our elementary school principals tried to sneak in back in the 80's. 8/9 year olds were taught that the ends were more important than means. Also told NOT to talk about it to adults. I helped get that stopped. Heads rolled.
