You can get very compact ones for carrying on your keychain, like I have on the set of keys that I take with me on my bike.
Apropos of absolutely nothing except needing to put tire sealant in multiple bike tires, it’s really interesting how quickly you can remove a valve core with a small and simple tool. But doing so would render a tire useless until replaced, so I can’t really think of other applications.

My hope is that Dems are asking for a bunch of stuff over and above the three pitiful points that Chuck Schumer laid out and the two weeks is to let the Republicans chew on it. We need resignations, data protection, no DHS at polling places.

🚨 The Senate has agreed to a deal to vote on 5/6 full appropriations bills and replace the DHS funding measure with a 2-week stopgap bill, per multiple sources. That gives time to negotiate on the Dem demands for ICE and CBP restraints.

Senator Ron Wyden (OR) has been fighting against this type of data collection and abuse. Call your senate rep today and ask them to co-sponsor.

Things I'm randomly interested in today.
Because I have a bike.
New tool for you to learn about:

Ya never know when you might want to deflate a vehicle tire REALLY fast without using a knife.

You also may never know when you also want a tire to deflate slowly.

This tool will help you tune/adjust/install/uninstall your valve core of your tire.

Reports say Trump admin officials secretly met with Alberta separatists (Alberta Prosperity Project) to discuss a $500M loan for Alberta's secession. Repeated meetings have drawn criticism for potentially destabilizing Canada amid US-Canada tensions.
January 29, 2026 at 7:24 PM
"Conflict researcher Thomas Homer-Dixon previously warned a looming separation referendum could fail but Trump could argue the results were “fake” and the US would move troops to the northern Montana border and tell the rest of Canada that Alberta must be allowed to join the US as the “51st state”.
