Also USPS didn't loss money because it doesn't make money because it's not a business and if never makes money to begin with.

It did however deliver over 112.5 billion pieces of mail in 2024 and that doesn't even include packages.
The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

Made it home and most importantly up the driveway. No break-ins necessary. So glad to be home and out of that vehicle, may it rot in hell.

Everyone cross your fingers this terrible SUV can at least make it into my driveway after we got 8” of snow at home. Might have to break into my sister’s house to sleep tonight otherwise!

Too lazy to delete and repost, that should read *that misaligns the human body.
After nearly 40 hours of driving and riding in one, I can officially declare the 2025 Chevy Equinox the most poorly designed car I’ve ever had the misfortune of experiencing. It is actively painful to drive and every seat has a weird shape the misaligns the human body.

Today we stopped at Pink Elephant Antique Mall’s Twistee Treat diner for lunch in Illinois. Fun, makes a fantastic malt, food was fine. Three year old once again over the moon, this time mostly related to the cup of mayo they served with the burgers (he’s a mayo addict).

Stopped at a whole series of Rt 66 diners on this trip without planning on it, including one in Oklahoma that helped inspire the Cars film. The 3 year old nibbling was thrilled with that one.

Somehow messed up my upper back sleeping last night, which has been great fun on this 8 hour drive today.

Tragically lost one Loop earplug on this trip. Of course from a brand new pair after the case for my old pair broke and dumped them on the driveway where one got run over.

One of the best things about Thanksgiving at the ranch is that my cousin puts the turkey in so I don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn. Premade the stuffing the night before and that was it.

Every time I get mad at an AI spam call and tell it to fuck off, I think about that article a few years ago admonishing the public for treating AI assistants like Siri badly. Whoever wrote that can also fuck off.

Just figured out my grandfather technically became a Canadian citizen in 2015 when they granted citizenship to first generation Canadians born outside Canada before 1947. His mom was born in Canada, but her parents emigrated the family to New York. He's 93 so this is all academic, but interesting!

How is it possible that a company just emailed me a handwritten PO in the year 2025?
November 18, 2025 at 6:17 PM
Not sure why OP assumes these emails aren't legit, but if they're from [email protected] they are the real AO3 sending you a password reset. It's not a scam, it's a known bug that these sometimes get sent to people who didn't request one. Delete it if you didn't request it! That easy.
Attention friends! As a Cyber Sec Specialist, I feel a need to share this. If you receive an email from Ao3, alerting you to a password reset attempt, DO NOT click on the links! This is a scam to get you to provide your current password. Absolutely terrible. Safe cyber smart! #ao3 #scamalert

Quick reminder that Trump can release the Epstein files himself at any time. The only reason the House is voting to release them is because he wouldn't.
November 18, 2025 at 3:44 PM
Can't do my main work task for the morning because Cloudflare is down and can't even take advantage of the sudden free time to read something on AO3 because Cloudflare is down. We really need to stop letting 3 companies control 90% of the internet's infrastructure.

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Just realized I'm the reader every writer fears - I will research a throw away mention in one line of your novel if it strikes me as mildly interesting new information or the slightest bit unlikely. I apologize profusely.

While the aurora was very cool, I can’t help thinking that in an earlier era a blood red sky being seen across large parts of the country while a tyrant tries to become king would be taken as a serious omen.
