Correct.

I do not allow people who believe these things (propagandized or not) near me.

We all have choices. We all validate the spaces we are in with our presence. There are NO excuses.

Through their support, I published two major stories this year.

Gutted to get 2 messages from kids in my family telling me I need to try harder to socialize at the holidays & “get over” being sick

I do so much disability advocacy to try and help people understand that it’s not our fault

We can’t “try harder”

Yet I can’t get my family to understand

All my life, I have loved riding bikes recreationally. But since developing #LongCOVID in the First Wave, now I can only manage an e-bike: COVID totalled my quadriceps & whenever my heart rate accelerates too much, it feels like I'm having a heart attack (beta blockers help though) -

It’s not a refusal to re-enter society.

It’s not shaping your life around Covid avoidance.

It’s adaptation. It’s a desire to protect health. It’s being willing to accept that things change, and masking & clean air are the way forward.

Mass death & disability is not normal

Look, if you're willing to concede that masking in health care settings is reasonable, then masking outside of such settings is hardly zealotry, since respiratory pathogens and the people vulnerable to them exist outside of health care settings, too.

Umm, I'm very much alive & just paying attention to the evidence.

Two weeks ago I bought an item from an online retailer. Today I get an email wishing me a happy Christmas and thanking me for becoming a part of their "community". But buying a Christmas present online does not mean I have joined their "community". I feel like the Borg are trying to assimilate me.

1. COVID-19 exists & mutates.
2. COVID-19 travels via aerosols -- minute spittle from us.
3. Masking is effective.
4. Masking is a prosocial behavior b/c it protects the wearer & those around them.
5. N95 wearers are not "zealots." They simply DGAF about peer pressure.
6. Mattha Busby? A LIAR.

Quite apart from the misinterpreted and poorly presented science that will continue to get some of his readers killed or disabled, I’d like to point out another glaring factual error.

People that wear masks did not and do not refuse to enter society. Society refuses to accept mask wearers.

We often hear 'the #pandemic' in the past tense, but #covid infections are causing massive harm to health and economies. Reduce risk through #ventilation, #filtration and wearing an ffp2 or #ffp3 respirator mask. These actions reduce the likelihood of all airborne infections.
