wow. this puts a spin on the trauma my mother inflicted with her gambling addiction. she was mired in despair, and she inflicted despair on her family to serve her addiction, despairing often at having done so... which only made her gambling worse... all the while chasing the high of hope. 💔

Omg did you know that knives are handed? If you have a leftie in the house that is destroying your bread with the bread #knife, this is why: it has a flat edge on the left for going up against the loaf! Also, some knives have symmetrical cleave with asymmetrical handles that affect the cut. #TIL !

Sometimes I watch current cinematics and think how much I take them for granted, esp. compared to how enraptured I was watching the preview for FFVIII. I couldn't get over it at the time.
Not sure when the quality became expectation instead of awe. I want that sense of amazement back.

Today is my non-vegan day and apparently I'm going all in to cheer myself up.
Half croissant, cooked spinach, egg (my yolk popped 😭), burrata, tomato, veg bacon, & basalmic. I don't like a lot of fake meat things, but I like the morningstar bacon as my salt and crunch on a breakfast sandwich :9
