No student should endure multiple shootings in their life before they even leave formal education; we’ve obviously failed them by allowing this to continue without action.

And let’s stop saying that he was a great president. The end of the trend toward income equality. The end of the fairness doctrine. Shutting down Rosalynn Carter’s mental health centers. So many other measures creating the country we have today.

My problem isn’t that he falls asleep in cabinet meetings or press events. My problem is that he wakes up.
President Trump appeared to be fighting sleep on Tuesday during a cabinet meeting at the White House, closing his eyes and at times seeming to nod off, after he criticized media coverage about him facing the realities of aging in office.

Some good news.
Lewiston, Maine, endured one of America’s shameful mass gun/murder events. It is a small city with strong community networks. A few months later, their anger and grief was lifted somewhat by the success of their high school soccer team which won the state championship. Many on the team are Somali.
