I spent the last year writing a book about the ridiculous demands of what it means to be masculine. But a guy who takes care of people who served our country, asks a woman “are you ok?” When she is in distress and looks out for his vulnerable neighbors seems like a pretty good role model for a man.

Philadelphia sues over "arbitrary and capricious" removal of displays about slavery" at Independence National Historical Park, with one official saying "History cannot be erased simply because it is uncomfortable." Good. Hope we see lots more lawsuits like this. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...

Ultimately the crackdown on transness has never been about trans people its never been about us. Its the struggle between the firm hand of heteronormative patriarchy and the freedom of feminism, bodily autonomy, reproductive rights. We are just the border where that war is fought
There’s just no subtlety or smarts to transphobic thought and its a mistake to assign it any. Its a very base and banal thing. Just the manifestation of belief in the base structures of patriarchal heterosexual society and that people should know their place in it

I don't deny that dogs can sometimes be quite lovely but what I will say is I don't trust their opinions. If a cat recommended me an album it had bought, I'd totally check it out. If a dog did the same, I'd promise to listen to the album, out of politeness, with no intention of actually doing so
