I’ll never forget going on vacation near a small town circa 2019 and finding a combination video rental and exotic fish store. It was great. 10/10, no notes.

I only recently discovered that commercially made overnight oats are intended to be drunk instead of eaten with a spoon, and for reasons that are difficult to convey, I am so icked out.

I skipped my 25th HS Grad
Reunion this week because I live in another state and I learned about it 5 days in advance. From the photos it seems they didn’t have NAMETAGS?! So I would be trying to REMEMBER PEOPLE? What a nightmare that would have been. Whew.

All I can say is if you are deeply sad and angry right now, get into your community. Get involved in something. Go follow someone who does community work into whatever they do and do SOMETHING. Your church, your neighborhood, your family, wherever you can in whatever way you can.

Race animates a lot of ICE/CBP, but I can't stress enough how—as with all law enforcement—a key factor is sheer *laziness*.
They're not tracking down drug gangs, they're going for the easiest targets they can find. Official hearings (citizenship, court, etc) are fish in a barrel to run numbers up.

1000%. The real DEI in the American workplace is nepotism and hiring based off of personal relationship instead of qualifications. White people know White people, and that means White people hire White people.
I had a debate about DEI in my previous company and I kept it so 100 you could hear a pin drop. I was like "Steve [not his real name] about 3 out of 4 white people lack a *single* black personal acquaintance. About the same proportion of those we hire come from referrals. I saw your FB friends."
