Ranking every act in #BaldursGate3 (1/6)

1. Act 1 Wilderness-Underdark-Grymforge

Easily my favorite. The most fun to explore, the most interesting and exciting. It's just perfect.

2. Act 2.5 Mindflayer Colony

Maybe a stretch to call this is own act, but I like how much your choices completely

I've onto actual gotten to act 3 of BG3 once and I quit that save before beating it. Act 3 is just such a slog I can never get myself to play through it, really the worst part of the game

now imagine there's a button that if you don't press, you will immediately become pregnant and be forced to give birth. Would you press THAT button?

Well tough shit, you are legally forbidden from pressing it because some guy arbitrarily decided God hates it when people push buttons.
you get one guess as to who came up with this thought experiment and considered it to be a useful way to think about abortion

another game to ignore I suppose.

in our seared hellscape of a world, we are *still* spoiled for choice when it comes to games, & as we pick through the rubble for things to add to the growing backlogs lashed to our backs, it's so, *so* easy not to pick up a 60hr cinderblock that bears The Disease
NEW: I spoke to Larian boss Swen Vincke about their ambitions for their new RPG Divinity, cutting down development time, pressures from Baldur's Gate 3, why BG3 wouldn't have happened without Tencent, how Larian uses generative AI, and much more www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

In a recent video Tim Pool claimed that he had a resting heart rate of 45, and it has driven me entirely mad that nobody seems to have called him on it.

it's actually kinda funny in a way to get to the finish line of curing cancer and having the government go eh you know what. never mind
A tiny trial in New York has shown that personalized mRNA vaccines can provoke massive, lasting immune responses against pancreatic cancer, even as sweeping federal cuts now threaten the fragile labs required to produce them.

100% agree. Ironically, this is the only version of "broken windows" that actually makes any sense, because it has to do with the individual behavior of one person going from getting away with small crimes to getting away with big crimes, instead of being some vague theory about general contagion.
My hottest take is that letting cops park in red zones for mundane errands and coffee breaks; I think “you can break the law at your discretion as a job perk” is the small domino that ends in the large domino of “shooting protesters in the face with rubber bullets”
It must be wild to get to abuse the public then pay for it with the public's money

You know what was a great work of art? 'One Mississippi', the Tig Notaro show that had him as a producer and when they found out wrote a story line showing how horrible and traumatsing what he did actually is. It got canceled and Notaro hasn't had another chance at creating something on that scale.

Every. Single. Time. This happens all that comes out from it is that said cancelled celeb realizes they can do anything they want with impunity so they stop trying at all. We're in for the terrifying idea of what Louis C.K. phoning it in looks like
We expect that? That's what "we" expect? Is it?
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Louis C.K.’s Next Chapter
In a new standup special, and a début novel, the comedian navigates murky, post-#MeToo terrain: not quite exiled, not quite welcomed back.

Idunno man. Maybe it's for something to do with our country being ran by a death cult that worships a decaying tower of recessive genes.
