I just read a book in one sitting, and now I want everyone to read it. It’s called “Why Fish Don’t Exist,” by Lulu Miller, and it’s thoughtful, humane, clear-eyed, and hopeful in a hard-earned way. Plus, gorgeous writing that flows right off the page.

I remember Blair writing about this on Deadbird, long ago. She's written so many moving, interesting things, but there is something special about a team of dogs trusting Hari, the one dog who needs his pack to run safely, to lead them all to safety.
