This is the Yale professor's explanation for why he described the physical attractiveness of a student in an email to Epstein. He explicitly says he regrets nothing about their association.
Again, I'm so happy Yale hired David Brooks to restore trust.
I’ve heard the deep space pilots talk about them. They live on the moons of Iego, I think. They’re the most beautiful compressed bitmaps in the universe.

The moral bankruptcy required for Republicans to make one of their first moves in office passing legislation hyperfixating on policing children’s genitals in school while calling LGBTQ+ folks predators and groomers who are sexualizing kids would be staggering if it weren’t so painfully predictable

I was just marveling at this recently - I'm still working my way through the books but I've been amazed at how consistent the characterization has been as well as the overall plot development. It really feels like an immense but unified story.
I read through The High Republic to get ready to write TRIALS OF THE JEDI, and it’s amazing that something like this came together and told so many different kinds of stories in such a short period of time, across so many mediums.
Never seen anything like it, maybe never will again.
Tomorrow I begin my epic, year-long read through of the entire High Republic with a re-read of Light of the Jedi by @charlessoule.bsky.social Anyone else feeling like joining in with this madness, I’ll be posting free chat threads over on Substack & posting here using #THR2025#TheHighRepublic

You can find my video here. I put a lot of thought into how to approach this from a stance of guidance without alienating students by being overly critical. It was a challenging line to walk.

History may illustrate that revolution comes after everything burns down and significant social change is never achieved by asking those in power nicely but a lot of people die on the way and I’m worried some of us are a little too comfy with that
