#ChurchToo: How Purity Culture Upholds Abuse and How to Find Healing
Sexual abuse is utterly rampant in Christian churches in America. And the reasons are somewhat different than those you might find in the #MeToo stories coming out of Hollywood or Washington. #ChurchT...

Ds don't seem to be getting what they need out of Nashville. But if the margin lands at R+3, that's a D+19 shift from 2024 -- we're not talking a wave, we're talking tsunami
again @gelliottmorris.com says behn still has a chance but damn 3 points in this district is 🦇💩

TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.

Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

The most precious commodity you have is your attention. You don’t have to waste it on poor-faith debates or arguments with strangers if you don’t think they’ll be productive. You can prioritize the things that matter to you and make your life richer.

This race is close and, given how much Democrats outperformed the polls a few weeks ago, a win is actually possible.

But even a narrow loss in a gerrymandered district Trump won by 22 points last year would be a sign of significant progress.

Centrism is not reasonable. It stands in limbo between the view that all humans should be treated well as citizens of planet Earth and the view that only a tiny few powerful people matter.

When you stand in that limbo, you're actually just floating, lost.

It's not "reasonable." It's delusion.

Republican projection is wild because what do you mean you think there are people on the left who don’t want the files released because we’re afraid politicians we like will be in them

Democrats just ran the table, winning the marquee races -- NJ and VA sweeps, NYC mayor, CA prop, PA Supreme Court -- and lower-profile races in red and purple states across the nation.

If the media you're reading or watching paints this as anything but a massive win, stop reading or watching them.

Democrats have flipped 2 seats in the Mississippi senate, and in so doing they've broken the GOP's supermajority in the chamber.

Democrats not only kept control of the NJ governor's mansion for three terms in a row -- something that hasn't happened since the 1960s -- but went from winning by 3 points last time to winning by *13*

This is how Fox News has that story headlined, in small print, buried on the home page

Zohran Mamdani wins with >50% of the vote.

Clean sweeps in statewide races in New Jersey and Virginia.

Pennsylvania retains all democratic Supreme Court justices.

California passes prop 50.

This is the best possible outcome that could've happened tonight.

I will never understand the pundit obsession with getting Democrats to solve "political division."

Not only is this what they're already doing, but Klein admits that Republicans will never do the same. So elections will remain constant GOP smears and simping Democratic promises of bipartisanship.
