I am. But there are three things at play here regarding ICE collecting private data. Quick rundown on the issue, why you should be paying attention, and what I'm doing about it:
So which politician is calling for the dismantling of the probably illegal database that ice & this government is collecting biometric data of protesters?

Today, out-of-control masked federal agents killed another American, Alex Pretti, a VA ICU nurse.

Trump needs to end this chaos and withdraw his ICE battalions from Minneapolis.

The Senate must vote down funding this slaughter of our people.

Here’s how to “make sense” of all this: The right is composed of evil people doing evil things who do not give a single fuck about this country, your state or your family. All they want is power and the power to crush anyone who isn’t a white man that believes in society oriented around white men.

Worth repeating this with every new Epstein document drop. The party of Denny Hastert is the party of Jim Jordan is the party of Matt Gaetz is the party of Donald Trump. Looking the other way and protecting child predators from the law is their brand.

George W. Bush “won” the Florida recount in 2000 (and hence the entire presidential election) by just 537 votes because of felony disenfranchisement laws (driven primarily by the racist drug war). Republicans conveniently overpurged Florida voter rolls just before the election.
25 years ago today, SCOTUS elected George W Bush president of the United States by blocking completion of a voting canvass in Florida. A subsequent canvass by the Associated Press showed that Bush's rival, Al Gore, had won the race in Florida—and thus the contest for the presidency—by 700 votes.

We stand with @deluzio.house.gov and @houlahan.house.gov and the other members of congress who made a video encouraging our active duty military, and intelligence community members to refuse to follow any illegal orders. Spreading that message is not sedition, it’s patriotism in action.

Shapiro: He rose to some prominence by writing a book about growing up in Appalachia, where there are a whole lot of people who get SNAP. He made millions of dollars off telling their stories, and then he turned his damn back on those very people he likes to write about and claim as his own.

Since winning a PA Supreme Court majority, Ds have:

- Erased GOP gerrymander
- Upheld mail voting
- Rejected Trump bid to overturn results

So you can imagine why Rs really want to seize the majority ahead of ‘26 + ‘28.

Which brings us to Tuesday’s crucial election: boltsmag.org/pennsylvania...

If Dems win the Supreme Court races in Pennsylvania in 9 days, it’s extremely likely the GOP can’t get a majority on that court until 2029.

The GOP really wants to have this majority during the 2028 presidential race.

Can’t put the stakes any more clearly than that. boltsmag.org/pennsylvania...

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.
