How long before we all realize that every Trump/GOP accusation is a confession?

Stop falling for their BS!
Imagine calling someone Sleepy Joe throughout their presidency only to snore your way through meetings during yours.

It looks like the jinx from the last several days that I finally managed to shake off has found a new home.

Sorry @hankgreen.bsky.social !
Woke up this morning with sudden terrible neck pain. Twisted my ankle going down the stairs and then I sliced my finger on a can of beans.

Prepping a turkey breast on one foot with one hand without being able to look down was a new challenge, but I was up for it!

Hmmm…what USAID wasn’t bad for America…what if getting rid of it only hurt us and everyone else?

What if the richest man in the world being responsible for ending aid to the poorest people in the world will go down as one of the most bizarre and disgusting acts of the 21st century?

Authoritatively asserting that one's opinions are more valuable than everybody else's actual evidence is not exclusive to the Reactive Right.

All it takes is a lack of sufficient humility to be able to admit when you are wrong or WHOLE lot of Dunning-Kruger.
This is lunacy. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is, at best, an environmental lawyer. He has no experience or degree in medicine or science.

This is tantamount to me, an English major, giving NASA a Post-It outlining how they should revise their entire approach to the astrophysics of dark energy.
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.

Interesting how ICE flights weren't impacted by the shutdown. Just commercial flights. Yet we had to end the shutdown for the airlines?

Sure, Jan.

This is Bluesky taking a Johnny Cash quote out of context to make it look like the author was issuing a threat.

By that argument, the sitcom Just Shoot Me is more violent than SAW
The account owner of @sarahkendzior.bsky.social was suspended for 72 hours for expressing a desire to shoot the author of an article. The post, made 11/10, stated: "I want to shoot the author of this article just to watch him die." 1/2

EVERY accusation aimed at one of his perceived enemies from Donald Trump is almost certainly an admission.

In the hands of others, it can be an effective strategy. But, for Donald Trump, it's basically a lack of imagination compounded by low effort in finding something might actually stick.
Interesting..

Thanks to Angela Collier, I recently discovered that Goethe was revising Faust Part II (my favorite version of the Faust stories) practically up until his dying day. In total, a period of SIXTY years.

Ahem. It's the job of the President to appoint DAs - with advice and consent from the Senate.

The President can ignore that rule - but only once (per district) and only for 120 days.

Do you know who appoints DAs after the 120 day mark has passed?

Pam Bondi doesn't. Because it's the judiciary.

It’s been a year to the day we bought (and then didn’t, for reasons we still don’t fully know) InfoWars. We’re still trying. In the year since, we built The Onion into one of the biggest newspapers in the United States. I’m so proud of this place. I’m proud we do hard stuff. Thank you for caring.

Very appropriate for someone who wants to be mayor of the City that Never Sleeps. (One part of the NYC mythos that is most definitely not an exaggeration!)

I'd like to see him do it again, but next time with Dave Atell.

New Yorkers have never had a mayor who represents the multiculturalism of the city like Zohran Mamdani does. As Trump and the GOP represent the last vestiges of white supremacy, Mamdani represents the new America — a country of inclusiveness. Better get used to it, motherfuckers.
