If you’re an editor isn’t it just fucking exhausting at this point? It’s not just wrong and scolding but it’s also deeply fucking boring.

German Jews were citizens of Germany at the start of 1933. By the end of 1933, the Nazis had
removed citizenship from naturalized citizen Jews.

In 1935, all German Jews were fully stripped of their German citizenship.

Citizenship under dictatorships is contingent for targeted minorities.

The last NYT editor not locked up by Trump will still be writing “he’s testing the limits.”
Every time Trump breaks the clear letter of the law, the NYT and WaPo write a story about how he’s “pushing boundaries” or “testing the limits of his authority”

He's not Chuck Yeager, guys. He's a crook.

The Mandarin Chinese restaurant on the Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg, Pa shaped like a ship because it took over an old seafood restaurant. Or Pepe’s Cantina off 6th Street in Harrisburg which sponsored a summer float down the Susquehanna River.
Sunday night timeline cleanse

please tell me about your favorite lost restaurant (closed for at least 5 years, like I really want you to go back into the vault), why you loved it and what you ate there

In a time of crisis for U.S democracy, CBS News under new right-wing management just committed one of the worst acts of journalism in American history

What's so terrible about its unverified, unlikely Trump propaganda over the the MLPS killing by ICE

The day that CBS News became literally ‘fake news’ for America | Will Bunch
An unverified, unlikely story about the Minneapolis ICE shooter exposes the new CBS News team as Trump's state media.

According to Brian Stelter, 60 Minutes is finally airing the "Inside CECOT" story that Bari Weiss shelved.

She made Sharyn Alfonsi fly to DC to get an interview with Tom Homan and Kristi Noem for the segment, but both refused.

So it'll run tonight -- with no promotion and against the NFL playoffs.

Jeff Bezos is no stranger to issues of press freedom. He got a lot of goodwill when helping WaPo's Jason Rezaian get out of Iran. He stood with Khashoggi's wife after the Saudi gov murdered him.

Which makes his silence on one of WaPo's reporters getting raided on home soil all the more salient.

Would you look at that? Jeffy did all that craven genuflecting to dear leader and turned the entire opinion section into an instrument of flattery and the feds are still pretending press freedom and the First Amendment are imaginary

This reeks of Orbanism. Congrats Jeffy, you played yourself.
