genuinely think we have a moral obligation to be rude & cruel to scammers and grifters. they prey on ppl's manners and politesse and inability to say no. call it when you see it even if it makes you uncomfortable. right now they are being rewarded at all time highs & they need to be shaken

Always like the day and weekend after Thanksgiving. It can be very chill. Casually eating leftovers, hopefully seeing friends, do some art, play video games, no expectations.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:

I used to think the speedy overthrow of the Shire was a bit of a writing failure by Tolkien, because how could things fall apart so badly, so fast.

I will never get over this. Only monsters cause this much needless pain.

Horrendous. Every Christian values warrior who voted for this should live in shame forever.
"World's first potential trillionaire has killed 600,000 people, including 400,000 children" is the only headline that anyone should ever read about Elon Musk
