Just a good girl, being a good girl. #TimelineCleanse #dogs #SomeThingsAreStillGood
Today I learned that the SS Arthur M Anderson, the last ship in contact with the SS Edmund Fitzgerald before she sank on November 10, 1975... and the first ship to search in vain for survivors... is 73 years old and it was hauling freight on the Great Lakes in 2024. Blew my mind.

Nancy Pelosi is retiring.

It's a sign of their intelligence when a politician sees it's time to walk away from a position of power and make room for younger generations to take over.

I hope some of the other octogenarians in Congress follow her suit. www.pbs.org/newshour/pol...

Not only was she the first woman in the speaker's office but arguably the most powerful in American politics.

I just convinced my husband to throw away some software boxes that he bought in 2006.

Not the CDs... just the boxes they came in. (None of our computers even have CD drives.)

I can say I outlived Henry Kissinger, Phyllis Schlafly, Ronald Reagan, George H. Bush, Pat Robertson, and now, Dick Cheney.

I hope I can add more members of the Republican Walking Dead to my bingo card very soon.

Did you feel a disturbance in the force? Darth Vader... I mean, the war criminal Dick Cheney has died.

Like a lot of powerful murderers, he died surrounded by family and didn't pay for his crimes during his lifetime. www.cbsnews.com/news/dick-ch...

I just had a Paul Revere truther reply to a comment I made on another site. She was insisting that Paul Revere is fictional. 🤦‍♀️

I know he was turned into a sort of folk hero by Longfellow's poem, but c'mon you can still visit his grave and his house in Boston.

“The change was expected, as the Trump administration has, mostly, argued in recent weeks that it has no obligation to grant retroactive compensation to employees, despite President Trump in 2019 signing into law a measure that guaranteed it in all future shutdowns.”

Cool.

The old bathroom was charming, and the green reminded me of something Mamie Eisenhower or Bess would have picked...

The new bathroom looks like something you'd find at a 3 star hotel in Atlantic City.
sure, you might not be able to eat or go to the doctor, but check out how nice Trump's new marble shitter is

I can't go to Target tomorrow for clearance candy and I'm ☹️. As much as I love hoarding cheap candy, I'm still boycotting the MFers. ☹️

Why am I instantly suspicious that this is bogus and that Kash Patel is covering up the violation of someone's civil rights by labeling them as a "potential" terrorist?

Why don't the Democrats mention that SNAP, WIC and school lunches and other federal food programs are a matter of national defense?

Our future military capabilities and the strength of our future work forces will depend on Americans being healthy and well- nourished today.

A US Drug Enforcement Administration agent said the DEA made “high-level arrests” of 171 Sinaloa Cartel members across New England in August.

A Globe investigation found that many of the DEA’s targets were addicts, low-level dealers, shoplifters, and homeless people.

trump nominates former Anoka Cty sheriff to be Minnesota US marshal

James Stuart was 1 of 2 names put forward by MN's Republican congressional delegation; the other was Bob Kroll.😒

IDK anything about Stuart, but MnGOP cannot be serious when they put Kroll on a list.

There's road work being done in my neighborhood and there's an unattended excavator running in front of my friend's yard. I took a pic of it and texted her "Can I borrow your new vehicle?" 2 secs later, the foreman comes flying down the road, "don't shut it off its charging batteries."

The post from the Reagan Foundation is just complete gibberish.

The ad did not, in fact, misrepresent Reagan's views. But the idea that anyone needs the Reagan Foundation's goddamn permission to use the publicly broadcast official remarks of a former president and/or edit them for brevity is crazy
