As a former journalist, I support current journalists…especially those at the @washingtonpost.com and the @latimes.com . The owners do not need my financial support…but we need to keep the press free…especially with the 🍊🤡 coming to power.
Philip and many others do vital work at the Post. I fully understand why we're all angry at Bezos, but America needs more journalism, not less, and if you want to show your unhappiness with Bezos, cancel your Prime membership instead.
This is admittedly in part self-serving but if you value the work individual journalists are doing at The Post but are nervous about the paper institutionally, it's important to send signals — shares, clicks, comments — in support of the work you like instead of only criticizing what you don't.
