This is who she was.
Passionate in her beliefs. Fiercely loyal to her friends. Never afraid to let you know exactly where she stood. The best.

Fun Fact: I remember arguing with her over which of us hated Piggy the most. I was sure I did. She disagreed. It remains unresolved...
Carrie Fisher was the blueprint.

I don’t have HBO anymore but every time I see a clip from the Thoughts and Prayers documentary I feel absolutely gutted.

I’m not sure I’d make it through it but it should be free for every American to be able to view. Especially on Capitol Hill.

Can you spread the word about weaintbuyingit.com? This is one of the easiest and safest ways possible to fight back against the current administration. If you've been saying there's nothing you can do - you're wrong! All you have to do is not buy from Amazon, Home Depot, or Target for five days.

November 20th is Transgender Day of Remembrance, wherein we remember all the trans lives lost to bigotry, ignorance, & hatred. It exists to honor those lives & to ensure no more candles are added to the number already being lit today. Do your part & fight anti-trans idiocy wherever you encounter it.

Tonight there’s a freezing warning here, and in our Anishinaabe way, that means we welcome the storytelling season.

Come read my new Substack, and if you feel called, tell a story of your own, or write one down.
Winter is coming.

Let’s share our stories.

The engrossing book you're reading skips from Chapter 28 to Chapter 30 (the epilogue), completely omitting the story's climax. Problematic page gap.
Angry person yelling at chill person who is responding by being calm, which makes the angry person even more mad? Problematic rage gap.
Prisoners keep escaping because you put the bars too far apart? Problematic cage gap.

Copied from my alumni newsletter:

"Montana State University senior Doriane Keiser has been awarded a Rhodes Scholarship for 2026.

Keiser, an associate member of the Fort Peck tribes, is one of just 32 American scholars selected for the scholarship."

Excited to see a Fort Peck Rhodes Scholar!!!

BlueSky could have shared a screenshot of my tweet showing the Oct 10 timestamp and that I was using Johnny Cash lyrics to quote-tweet about an article on Johnny Cash. Instead, they made it look like I issued a random death threat and falsely claimed I posted it this week. They should apologize.

I love writing op-eds.

@teenvogue.com was my main outlet, but if there are any others (especially independently ran) that are looking for a contributing writer on race, gender, and the economy, I'd love to work with you.

Homeland 🇵🇭 was devastated by back-to-back typhoon which destroyed a lot of homes and displaced families.

I am offering $10+ sketches. All profits will be donated to ChildHope Philippines, a local org providing basic needs to street children, the most vulnerable population rn

Maybe Mishipeshu just found better things to do than sink colonizer resource extraction vessels...?

Nah.

Of COURSE it was NOAA.
In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

The Edmund Fitzgerald sank fifty years ago yesterday. It has been decreed a graveyard and therefore cannot be further studied after a diving team released unethical photographs of a saponified corpse floating inside of the vessel in the 90s. #morbidminute
