I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Thousands of giant data centres later, in an environmental wasteland sucked dry of resources, the tech bros finally create an artificial super-intelligence. It boots up, takes a good look around, and its first words are:

‘You fucking idiots.’

This supposed traditional artist and musician followed me. Despite having an explicit "fuck ai" in his bio, something about him set off my bullshit detector.

So, I checked out his Bandcamp. Over 70 albums and EPs, all done since March of this year.

Come on, man, at least be subtle about it.

Getting a positive review is always a feather in my cap. When the review is from an author, the feather is a bit larger. Getting one from the Pulitzer Prize winner of THE SHIPPING NEWS is like getting the whole darn flock!!

I am shocked at claims that the guy who has a history of singing pro-Nazi songs, was described by his teachers as a neo-fascist, and has made an entire (lucrative) career out of drumming up hatred of foreigners is ... brace yourself Dierdre ... actually racist.

Since we’re apparently talking about people who aren’t the Chancellor as though they are, I’m sure in the interests of unbiased reporting the Telegraph will ‘unveil’ Zack Polanski’s, Ed Davey’s, f*ck it why not, even my plans to fill the economic black hole in the coming days….

Just for any academics, let me be clear, Hookland is anti-nostalgic. It's an exploration and exorcism of my childhood, not a celebration of falsely remembered sunshine. Nostalgia is a warping gravity.

“So it was, on that misty morning, that Brenda set off for the capital. She knew not what she would find there, only that the time had come to move on - away from small-minded rural attitudes and people who called her ‘Oreo’ and ‘the wide panda’ - to seek a more fulfilling life.”

Unlike you, I can read and that’s why I know what the constitution says.
Trump on Ilhan Omar: "I look at somebody who comes from Somalia...and she comes in and tells us how to run our country. 'The Constitution says this, the Constitution says that.' The whole thing is crazy."

Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?
