Some men on social media be like ‘you’re an ugly b*tch and you don’t deserve rights and I hope you get assaulted’ and then when they’re blocked post ‘omg women/the left claim to be tolerant but they won’t even debate with me’.

Maybe there's something in this Nigel Farage and Nathan Gill Russian bribes story....
Lots of stories about Nathan Gill and Russian bribes.

"I'm not surprised the personal attacks have started. They've got loads of lines: about my teeth, about my history as an actor, about my name change... the right just don't actually have a line of attack against me that's political"

I’m not saying everyone who has ever said ‘gazans’ denies the existence of Palestine - just that some people work really hard not to ever say Palestine or Palestinians. That’s literally all.

I’m getting a lot of flack for asking this question - I think people don’t realise that sometimes as a host you ask questions you already know the answer to, in order to allow an expert to explain…..

‘A ceasefire has been reached, and Palestinians are returning to northern Gaza, so what are protesters on the streets today to protest?’

@natashadevon.bsky.social asks political analyst Professor Kamel Hawwash.

The MET will say, like, 3 people were there….
Hundreds of thousands of people at Palestine protest today in London

I’m thinking of setting up a support group for all the bisexuals who can attribute almost the entirety and of their internalised biphobia to *that* episode of Sex and the City.

Number of deportations the ECHR have actually blocked since 1980 - 13 (THIRTEEN).

Please remember this next time some grifting populist claims us leaving the ECHR (and sacrificing the rights it gives us in the process) will allow us to ‘control our borders’.

Give up satirists.

Move to Saudi or something.

You're not needed any more.

People surprised that some formerly sensible left-leaning or liberal women are now apparently full of admiration for white supremacists, rapists and genocide might note that their entry point for far right radicalisation was invariably a belief that transphobia is ‘feminist’. Just saying.

Has anyone noticed or cared that it’s World Mental Health Day today? (Apparently, the theme is ‘access to services’).

I highly doubt any untrained person has got within a metre of a swan, tbh. They can be vicious f*ckers.

Also interesting to note that Reform’s Welsh leader pleading guilty to accepting bribes to promote the Kremlin’s agenda apparently cut through less than a 12 year old Sun article about one woman’s perception of her own breasts.

Also - after 15 years of doing media debates/punditry it’s my observation that often the most polished speaker on a panel is also the most blithe - actually they don’t give a crap about the topic they’re discussing. Just something to bear in mind when listening to certain Reform MPs.

Watched Question Time tonight and really proud of the people of Shrewsbury for pushing back on some of the more rancid aspects of discourse around immigration in media and politics.

(Was less thrilled that they were apparently baffled by the concept of a 1% wealth tax).

I’ve been saying this for ten years now but possibly not often enough: Ask Them What They Think The Words They’re Using Mean. And then ask them to name the ‘problematic’ people. We had ‘sovereignty’, ‘laws’ & ‘unelected bureaucrats’. The US now has ‘Antifa’, the ‘radical left’ & ‘insurrection’. Ask!

And I’ll say it again - even if every Jewish person in Britain were 100% behind Netanyahu (which statistically the majority are not) they’d still deserve to feel safe here in their home country. Which is why the whole conflation was so toxic in the first place.

I’ve just realised something - the same mentality which holds all
Palestinian people responsible for the actions of h*m*s will blame anyone who advocated for an end to a genocide responsible for the man who perpetrated a terror attack last Thursday.
