Erika Kirk, who I do not support, and Bari Weiss, who I also do not support, put together the most riveting hour of television that I have ever watched on CBS, which I also do not support.

The Trump comments about Rob Reiner are extra batshit because a few months ago people were getting fired and civil war was being threatened because some people dared to accurately describe Charlie Kirk's beliefs

Unsurprisingly, the president's reaction to the murder of Rob Reiner confirmed that he is indeed one of the most vile men ever to occupy the White House.

Donald Trump maliciously mocks the brutal murder of Michele & Rob Reiner, and Republicans don’t bat an eye. But as soon as you quote Charlie Kirk’s views, all hell breaks loose.

I'm not even going to repost a screengrab of his post about Rob Reiner but man it really needs to be said every single day: Trump truly is the biggest piece of shit in the world, a man of absolutely no good qualities and seemingly limitless bad ones. Support for him is just so damning.

One of the great failures of contemporary political news coverage in a lot of media is the unspoken principle that no violation of norms or decency by Trump is really news, worthy of sustained attention, unless it also upsets people who love him. It isn't "not taking the bait"; it's sleepwalking.

Just in case any journalist or editor reading this is tempted to minimize Trump's Reiner post because it's a "showbiz thing" and "real" stories are happening: No. It's a President thing and a decency thing, and if you don't understand that those things are newsworthy, you are failing in your duties.
