also it's unfortunate that Alyx is kinda prohibitive to play because it's absurdly good. played it a couple years after it came out on my sister's headset and it's absolutely as big of a jump as HL1 to HL2. it effectively *is* half life 3, just not many people have played it to realize this lol

i've been thinking about this since finishing Alyx and honestly i think if there *is* a new half-life, they'll just release a non VR version of Alyx along with the announcement of 3
if they did actually make half life 3 whats the percentage of people that play it and get really confused because a vr game that no one has access too changed the cliffhanger to a completely different one

pretty interested in steam machine. outside of playing stuff for videos, steam deck is how i play the vast majority of games. only real issue is that it's not quite powerful enough for big screen gaming.
also been wishing for a new steam controller that was just the deck minus the screen, hell yeah
