I think people mistake getting lost and digging around for secrets in the earlier games for non-linearity. Prime 4 also has secrets and backtracking, they just have designed the maps in a way where it's a LOT harder to get lost in them, which is a good thing imho

I find it interesting that people are complaining that prime 4 is "linear". All prime games are linear. They literally block your progression into new areas until you have the right power-ups, there is pretty much only ever one path to go forward.
