Reminder: you should absolutely start wearing the best mask you can find in public spaces, even if you stopped before. We have no public health at the top level & repeat infections have ravaged immune systems.

If someone gives you a hassle, say "even if it's just a cold, I DON'T WANT THAT EITHER!"

I can't believe I have to say this, but if you have COVID don't go to public gatherings/events.

Since we can’t ever expect Mike Johnson to do the right thing, we’re forcing a vote on extending ACA tax credits. And we only need four more members to sign the petition to make it happen.

USBP is straight up posting misinformation.

Every day in U.S. immigration courts, judges deny cases because they can send people to Honduras under the ACA instead of hearing them here!
Can someone let BP Laredo know that asylum cooperative agreements don’t let people seek asylum in the U.S. That’s the whole point of them! They are designed to shift responsibility for adjudication to the other country— and only let people seek asylum THERE, ie in Honduras. NOT U.S.

Mysterious rise in people needing wheelchairs in an airport (which has very long walks for folks) coinciding with the rise of cases of Long Covid, gosh what could this mean.

(Other than Boris Johnson and his followers suck for a number of reasons.)
A constant blazing terror that somewhere, somebody might be getting a free cheese sandwich. Or indeed brief use of a wheelchair.

One of the great gifts of being a qualitative researcher is that I can assure you, beyond any doubt, that there is no such thing as a “normal” person in the sense you probably imagine.

So I don’t spend a lot of time worrying about “normal v not normal”.

No one should be offered death in lieu of treatment.

No one should be offered death when they’re asking for help.

It’s coercive even if they have the “right” to say no, because if no other treatments are offered they’re going to experience tremendous suffering.
